Author's Notes:
I don't have any real 'Conflicts' that will supossibly arise in the story. So if anyone has any ideas. I am all ears!
Also, my writing format isn't very good. So, if you wnat me to change it to what you see fit. Please tell me how to fix it.
A blue ear twitched as birds began to sing their morning coarse of chirping, letting the blue hero know it was time for him to get up; for it was morning. I stretched my tan furred arms and yawned, my eye lids dropping lazily down as I reached for the back of my head to find a mess of tangled quills. I muttered a curse under my breath as I glanced over to my night stand to see what hour of the morning it was. But no matter how much I squinted, the glare from the morning sun was blocking all hopes of reading the digital numbers. After a minute of hopelessly straining my eyes, I gave up and rolled out of bed and began to get ready for the day to come.
Putting my white gloves on with ease, I slipped into my famous red shoes and stepped towards the window. It has been almost two mouths since my friends and I finally got a break from eggman. I have to admit, it was nice not having to destroy his pathetic robots almost everyday, however, it has gone on for too long. Today, I was going to pay a visit to the devious doctor. I opened my window, feeling the wind brush against my quills, enjoying the moment before leaping out from the window ceil; using the door was overrated. Landing with grace, and I sped down town towards Dr. Eggman‘s lab.
I reached egghead’s base in no time, due to it’s massive structure, it wasn’t very hard to spot from a nearby building. The unnatural look of metal in a forest of green, didn’t help in disguising it either. ‘He could have at the very least used camouflage to make it look as if he was trying. Cause he’s just asking to be robbed.’ I thought, the corner of my lip twitching, as I approached the facility. I walked up to the double doors and knocked, “Hey eggman! You in there?” At once the electronic door flew open, but no one was there. I took a step into the dimly lit hallway, “Hey! Where are you?” I turned to the sound of metal clanking against the floor, the sound was so familiar that I didn’t even have to turn to see that it was my dark rival’s foot steps, Shadow the hedgehog.
“What do you want?” He asked in an irritated voice, crossing his arms over his white turf of fluff on his chest. “You sound so happy too see me Shadz.” I responded with sarcasm, giving him a wink and my trade-make smile. He rolled his eyes, “If your looking for Dr. Eggman, he isn’t available right now.” I lifted an eyeridge, “Do you have any idea where he is? He hasn’t attacked the city at all and that’s usually not like him.” Shadow give a faint smirk of amusement, “Getting bored faker?” I found my lightly tan cheeks turning a shade of red at his response. “You could say that.” I said scratching my head, smiling sheepishly. ‘That‘s ridiculous; I don’t need a evil villain to have fun.’ I thought to myself, the corner of my lip twitching as I did so. Shadow laughed slightly at my reply, “Once he arrives I’ll tell him you stopped by.” he said keeping a steady gaze. I nodded, “Thanks Shadz!” while giving him a thumbs up and a toothy smile. He grumbled in annoyance for he hated it when I called him by his nick-name. I stepped out from the base as the dark hedgehog shut the doors, grumbling as he did so. Looking around, I wondered what there was to do. I then spotted Tails hovering in the air towards me, “Hey Sonic!” he called once he spotted me. “Hey buddy! What are you doing out here?” I asked as he landing smoothly in front of me from years of practice. “I came here to see if eggman had any spare parts.” he said with a confused expression as he asked, “Why are you here?” I shrugged my tan furred shoulders, “Egghead has been to quiet, so I decided to see if he was around to ask him some questions.” Tail’s ears drooped at my statement in a disappointed fashion, “So I guess he’s isn’t here?” he sighed, “I was looking forward to finishing up the X-tornado.” I chuckled, “Isn’t the X-tornado fine the way it is?” ruffling the orange bangs on his head, trying to cheer up the young fox, “What could be missing?” Tail’s ear gave a flick as he responded, “I would have liked to upgrade the system, maybe even add some more touches to the weaponry.”
We chatted for another five minutes, asking each other about our day and as such before departing. I said my farewell to the two tailed fox as he flew away, swirling his name sakes in a neat circle, towards his workshop, probably going back to fix up the plane. I gave a sigh, wondering what to do next, Eggman was no where to be found, Tails was busy twinkling with his electronics, and Knuckles was probably guarding his master emerald like his life depended on it, thus not wanting to be messed with. I finally decided to run off somewhere, maybe try to get myself lost and find something new, thus I ran off at top speed, making a loud sonic boom in the midst of doing so. The wind ruffling my fur felt good as I raced into the distance, leaving loose leaves from the trees to falling lightly to the ground.
Shadow’s ear twitched at the sudden sound of Sonic’s booming in the distance, not to far from Dr. Eggman’s base. The dark hedgehog grumbled, wanting to run freely like his blue rival, but unfortunately he had to stay on duty due to Eggman’s absentness. He approached the door leading to the main center, where Dr. Eggman kept his super computer and other information based technology. I sat myself to the unnaturally large chair due to Eggman’s behind being so large and switched on the computer. A password code came up, I lifted a eyeridge, “Eggman likes to keep his stuff confined, huh.” I said aloud while trying to think of what the password could be, a pout like expression set on my lips.
All of a sudden, a screen pulled up and Eggman came into view, I felt my lip twitched in annoyance as he began to speak. ”Well, I see you found the main center of the base.” he raised an eyebrow, “ Has that childish blue pest destroyed anything yet?” said the doctor, giving off an expectant glance at the area around me. Probably expecting the blue blur to jump out of no where and start chaos in his base. “Everything is fine Doctor, Sonic has visited the base to see if you where around.” I gave a devilish grin at the mad doctor, “I think Sonic is starting to miss you.” “Heh, well, He shouldn’t get his hopes up, I won’t be returning for another week or so. Thus I expect you to guard the base as if your very life depended on it.” stated the scientist. I crossed my arms, “Why choose me to guard your property? Why not Rouge or your creations.” saying that made it feel as if I was an irresponsible teenager complaining about his chores.
Eggman gave a grumble before stating, “Because you are the only one I can trust who won’t ravage through my stuff (referring to Rouge even know I was about to do the same to his computer out of shear boredom) or destroy my base while trying to disintegrate Sonic in the making.” he said promptly. I rolled my eyes, “Well can you at least tell me what your up too?” I stated firmly, staring straight into the doctor’s goggles with seriousness. He frowned, “If you must know, I am doing some research about a mystical and powerful creature that is currently in a different domination right now. Making my hope of acquiring it difficultly slim”. I gave a sigh, “Let me guess, you’re trying to summon this ‘creature’ and hope it will obey you only because you awakened it? After all those times they went against you? You never learn do you”? His mustache gave a twitch, “Well, if I remember correctly, when I awoke you from your fifty year slumber, you continued to be loyal to me to this very day. Even know you sometimes partner up with that blue rat every now and then. You’ve continued to show loyalty to me”. He leaned back in his chair almost challengingly as I gave my counter response, “Well, I’m different”.

Author's Notes:
My updates won't be this fast for awhile.
After a long moment of silence, I was the one to brake the quiet, “Alright Doctor, I will leave you to your hopeless task of uncovering this creature”. I moved to the edge of the seat and pressed the cancel button before the doctor was able to say a proper farewell. I gave a sigh, before turning the seat and hoping off onto the metallic flooring, my shoes making a loud clicking sound against the metal as I did so. ‘What could I possibly do to quench my thirst for entertainment?’ I looked around the computer room, having lost all interest in hacking the Doctor’s computer. I existed the room leading into the long corridors of the hall. All the doors looked exactly the same, the same shade of metal, same design which was of course Eggman’s logo, ‘pathetic’. My ears folded back in a disappointed fashion as I found myself without anything to do in this damned base.
I think I did around 50 laps around the city before I gave up on looking for trouble. Then, an idea popped itself into the speedster’s head, ‘why not ask Shadow for a race?’ he thought excitedly to himself. However, this thought was immediately shot down when he remembered Shadow’s stubbornness and would most likely turn the offer down without a second thought. I raced towards the base anyways, only stopping about a good 30 feet away from the entrance. ‘Hmmm, maybe I could ask him for a tore of Egghead’s base?’ I thought comically to myself, making my lip twitch into a grin at the thought. I strode towards the two metal double doors; Eggman’s logo printed in the middle so that when the doors opened, the logo would split. I pushed my lips together in a thoughtful pout, wondering if I should make a great entrance by destroying the place first or just trigger one of Egghead’s alarms to get Shad’s attention. Both sounded interesting but I concluded on simply knocking like I did the first time.
What Sonic didn’t know was that he had already triggered an alarm inside the base, the red light bouncing off the wall as it blinked and beeped. The ebony hedgehog jumped at the sudden, abusive sound going throughout the base. He cursed under his breath at the annoying sound of the alarm, clasping his highly-sensitive ears to try and block it out. I swiftly trotted towards one of the screens on the wall, he found his ears pricking up in curiosity as his eyes caught the familiar color and shape of the blue speedster. “Now what could he want?” I asked myself in utter annoyance, my dark eyelid lowering lazily in an irritated fashion. I already began thinking of the questions the childish hero would most likely throw his way if he opened the door that is.
One of my eyes twitched as the sound of the damn alarm seemed to get louder, my artificial ears folding back with irritation. “God damn it! Shut UP!” In a smooth movement from years of repeatedly solving my problems this way, I took my hand gun out of my red streaked quills and shot one of the alarm speakers. I growled warily at the now smoking alarm system, eyeing it with red orbs, challenging it to even squeak or face destruction.
After wasting another minute thinking of ‘better’ ways to make a entrance, the door flew open with a swish and there, standing in the door way was Shadow holding his gun tightly, looking irritated. My blue ears perked up at the sound of a alarm going off in the base, the red flaring lights going off inside, bouncing off the walls. The shaded forest made it seem like it was late afternoon, except for the few patches of parting between the branches of the trees. This made Shadow almost glow with red light, making me squint my eyes. ’He looks, well, cool.’ I thought to myself, scolding myself after at the thought. I was quickly pulled from my internal argument as Shadow’s arm flew up, the gun in his hand pointing directly at the sounding contraption and without hesitation, he pulled the trigger.
A moment of silence, as I stared blankly at the smoking thing, it sending a few sparks before hissing and dying. Shadow stare was unwavering, he didn’t even have to turn to see where the gun was shooting, I guess that’s what comes with the name ‘Ultimate Life Form’. I cleared my throat, “Is this a bad time right now or should I just leav--”. Before I could finish that statement, he interrupted me with ease. “No no at all, in fact”, He stored his gun into his sharp black quills before continuing, “You came in perfect timing.” I looked at him and then the smoking alarm sounder, “You know Egghead won’t be to happy about his toys being destroyed.” I gave a teasing smirk.
He threw me a glare, “I can give to shits about Eggman’s horrible tech.” he grumbled, eyeing the smoking alarm behind him. “So, what brings you back here? Deciding to take advantage of the fact that the doctor is gone and rummage though his personals?” he retorted, crossing his arms over his white tuft of fluff. He began ranting about Egghead’s contraptions, with the words ’useless’ and ’scrap metal’ in it, but I wasn’t listening. Instead, I found myself out of focus as my eyes where latched on to the contrast of fur on the other’s chest. ‘I wonder what his creators thought when they decided to put a fluffy spot on the “Ultimate weapon‘s” chest? Gun plus fluffy spot, equals--’ I was abruptly snapped out of my thoughts as a firm gloved hand shook my shoulder, “Did you hear anything I said?” he asked, irritation written all over his face. I blinked a couple of times, “Ah, no.” I responded flatly. He let go of my shoulder, a another glare setting, “Was it anything important?” I asked, still a bit dazed from my trance. All I got was the rolling of the ebony hedgehog’s red eyes before he turned to walk away. “Ah, hey! Wait, where are you going! I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings!” I said jogging after the look-alike, waving my hand.
It was almost laughable, ‘Ha, the Ultimate Life form hurt? Don’t make me laugh!’ I continually strolled though the forest, sub cautiously looking back to see if the base door was shut so that no ‘pests’ don’t decide to go on an tore. “You didn’t hurt my feeling, Faker. It’s just if you came here to stare at me, I can give you a picture for that.” I said, the side of my lip twitching. I turned to see the blue hedgehog cheeks turn a shade of red before it rapidly changed into a challenging grin as he countered, “I didn’t know you posed for pictures Shadz.” his grin growing wider, “I never saw you as a model. Although you do have the legs for it.” I blew a fuse, but kept my posture as he continued to stroll next to me, undaunted by my growing annoyance.
Closing my eyes, I wished that the annoying hedgehog would get shot down right there and then. “How observant of you.” I grumbled, messaging my temples, trying to ease the approaching headache. ‘And I wonder how it’s possible to have a regular conversation with this idiot’ I thought, wincing as thinking became a problem. “Go away.” I growled, my quills rising to emphases that I wasn’t playing around. I opened one of my eyes to get a peak at what he was doing now, but found myself dumbfounded as the space that had contain the blue blur moments ago was empty. I stopped, my eyes opened and glance around, trying to spot any evidence on where he had gone. ‘I didn’t even hear him leave.’ I turned, ‘I guess he got the picture.’
