Okay, Chapter Two... Updating for anything is gonna be sporadic now... school is coming up...
Sonic was having a hard time getting his facts straight. “Shadow is alive.” He muttered to himself. “I didn’t kill him.” He sat down, still muttering. “But how did Eggman get him? And why does Eggman keep him drugged? Weren’t they working together?”
“Very true Sonic.” Eggman said from outside the cell. “We were working together, but Shadow wanted to join up with you.” he stroked Shadows’ head. The ebony hedgehog was kneeling next to him again.
Sonic blinked, and decided to ignore Eggman’s actions, and get some information. “Where was he?” he asked.
“He smashed into Red Mountain.” Eggman stated, still fondling Shadow.
“And the drugs?” Sonic asked.
“I said before they keep him placid.” Eggman turned to Sonic. “You’re very strange, you know that? You forgive someone who tried to destroy the world.”
Sonic fake yawned. “You gonna reach appoint this century Egg-butt?”
Eggman looked scathingly at the blue hedgehog. “You care about him. The fact tha you didn’t try to escape – well it doesn’t mater. I said I was going to torture you.” he started to walk off, yanking on the rope to pull Shadow behind him.
“Eggman?” Sonic asked, confused. “EGGMAN!”
No one answered.
Sonic blinked. Eggman had left an hour ago, and no one had checked on him during that time.
The door at the end of the hallway opened, and Eggman walked out, pulling Shadow behind him.
Sonic jumped up. “Egg-butt, What’d you mean?” Sonic shouted. He was silenced as Eggman kicked Shadow. “What’d you do that for?” he asked, horrified.
Eggman rolled his eyes. “It hurts you to see your friends in pain, blue boy.” He said slowly, like he was talking to a child. He opened the cell door, and threw Shadow in. “See you.” He said evilly, walking out of the holding cell area.
Sonic waited for a few seconds, before running to Shadows’ side. “Shadow? Shadow, are you okay?” he rolled Shadow over. The black hedgehog was breathing shallowly, but no bruises could be seen beneath his dark fur. “Sorry.” Sonic said in a heartfelt tone, and propped Shadow against the wall.
A few hours later, awareness returned to Shadows’ eyes. “Sonic?” He asked hoarsely.
“Shadow?” Sonic asked hopefully. “You okay?”
Shadow levered himself up. “I feel like I got hit by a truck.” He groaned, as movement aggravated his injuries.
“Sorry.” Sonic said, looking at the floor.
“Doesn’t matter.” Shadow said, eyes dulling. “You could have run off, it’s my fault you’re here.”
Both were silent, and then Shadow spoke up. “Can you help get this off?” he asked, tugging at the collar.
Sonic nodded. “Sure” he moved closer to Shadow, looking for a buckle. “Found it.” He muttered. “Stay still a moment Shads.” His fingers fumbled, and he missed Shadow tensing.
“What are you trying Shadow?” Eggman asked, smiling nastily.
Shadow froze, but Sonic kept trying to undo the collar.
“Naughty hedgehogs.” Eggman chided. He threw open the cell and pulled Shadow out, slamming the door shut quickly. He stuck a needle into the ebony hedgehog.
Shadow stiffened, and fell to his knees again.
“I think both of you need a lesson.” Eggman leered. He went into the next room for a moment, and then came out with a whip.
Shadow bit his lip, aware enough to know what was going on.
Sonic blinked. “What the hell! Egg-butt you’re a-”
Eggman brought the whip down on Shadows’ back. “No removing the collar.” He said, striking the prone hedgehog with each word. He continued to hit Shadow until the black hedgehog passed out, though he didn’t scream once. Panting slightly, Eggman went into the room again, exiting without the whip. He knelt down next to Shadow, lifting his arms and snapping cuffs around his wrists. He then picked up the limp hedgehog, throwing him at Sonic. “Be good now.” He wagged his finger at Sonic.
Sonic stared in horror. Eggman had way over reacted. Tears slipped down his cheeks. “I’m so, so, sorry Shadow.”
Eggman smirked. The blue hero wasn’t feeling so cocky anymore. This was way better than his other plans. His smirk widened, Shadow would pay.
Okay... yeah, also short... This story is gonna be shorter than B.n.K. I am evil to Shadow hey? :winces: anyhwoi, reviews would be nice....
