"Exhausted, but still moving on, the hedgehog walked. It was like adoption. There was always a possibility that you'd be bought. But in adoption, if you don't get chosen, there's always another day. There's always that second reassurance that can exist. There's always that safety net that keeps you going. With slavery, if you don't get chosen, you're dead. If you are unwanted... that's just it. You aren't good enough to be even a slave, so why keep you working? If your owners cannot make any money off of you, then there's no use for you to live. No second chance, no reassurance, no safety net."
I decided that I was going to make a few shorts, and see what the public likes. So yay or nay it if you may.
"Shadow looked on in horrific astonishment. Released from his captor, he was thrown to the ground. A slow, growing headache formed, and he clutched his head. Another body fell next to his, motionless. The pitch black hedgehog was dumbfounded, as the memory played over and over again in his mind. The shaded being that had been positioned behind the black hedgehog now held a gun to the head of Shadow."
