Sonic really is a little less emotionally stunted than Shadow is. That's good to know considering he's a bit on the ... uhm, oblivious side at times. Another great chapter, I really enjoyed it. You've done a great job tying everything together. Switching between Sonic and Shadow's perspectives was artfully done, I'm incredibly impressed. You've done good. :D

I like Sonic being oblivious; it's a nice foil for Shadow's tendency to overthink everything.
