Heh, VERY nice. Quality like this is hard to find in the fandom and you've done an absolutely splendid job! :D

The description and wording is beatiful, as is their characterization. Lemme see what i liked...

"I'm an attempt at creating the ultimate life form. I'm a biological weapon of mass destruction. He thinks I'm fun. You can't fight fools."

...you had me with this line right away. So beautifully illustrating both their personality traits, it's fantastic.^^

I liked how you elaborated on Shadow's way of dealing with himself being an experiment, that's always a rather cool topic.

...and then of course you turned it kinky by adding the sensitive nerves bit. Bonus points for that. XD

Then of course the description was wonderfully original and sensual in an...almost innocent...? way that was a joy to read. The little battle going on there was rather cute and had me grinning.

I also liked the how you incorporated a bit of an 'outside' aspect of their relationship, as in, how do others react. Lots of times other characters simply get ignored, character raped (insane!Amy, anyone...?) or develop an otherwise odd homophobia, just for some strained drama. Not here, though. I did like the attitudes of both Sonic and Shadow toward their circle of friends and other random encounters as they seemed very IC, workable and realistic.

And then, of course, there was just that tiny bit of bondage mentioned at the beginning. XD No need to look at my own fics here, I guess...

So, yeah, wonderful work in itself, but you mentioned it's part of a bigger story...? and where, excatly, might one read it? ;)

That's an interesting point with the "almost innocent". Made me look at it again. Sooo happy to hear all that X3 

AND so happy that initial line hit home; I tweaked it a few times 'cause it was important to get it right!
It'll be very interesting to see what you think about the longer fic... Now I'm pretty stoked.
Reminds me that I need to do my homework on Rouge and Omega... Character warping ruins a lot of fics for me (so I'd hate to commit it myself). Insane!Amy, or schoolgirl!Sonic...

I like Shadow's identity issues; his way of viewing himself, and his past... The contradictions in his flashbacks and the vague facts around him give me ideas, too.

And yeah, I dig bondage too. X3 Mainly the "less is more" kind.

The longer story is a pile of scratch (70 pages by now) in need of structure and context. I've never tried to knit together a story this long before, and I have no idea if I can pull if off. D:
I hope I can start posting it by the end of August, though I don't dare promise anything. (I have an unrelated shorter, simpler comic idea too, might be up if this one gets delayed)

 

Great story. I read this a while ago on DA I think. Don't feel intimidated posting the story on a site like this, your story is MUCH better than many on this site. It really was great.
