Sonic was running, trying to clear his head. There was only one thing on it, but it was non-stop. If he looked at a bed, a sleeping black and red furry was there. If he looked at a large explosion, he would see the same black hedgehog walking away. If someone said his name, he'd say 'where.' It was too much for one hedgehog. He was running through the forest area when he bumped into someone, knocking them both to the ground.
"Sorry bud.. Sh.. Shadow?!" Sonic asked jumping up
"What's it to you hedgehog?" He asked coldly getting up.
"It's been two years since anyone's seen you!!"
"So? Get out of my way." He said angrily pushing the hedgehog out of his way and continuing his path.
"Shadow! Wait! Why don't you come over?" He asked wlaking next to the black furry.
"So you and your stupid friends can annoy the hell out of me. Get away.." He said picking up his pace.
"Aw.. Come on Shads.. it won't.." Sonic started.
"Don't you Ever call me Shads. I'll rip your head off and feed it to sharks.." He said crazily. Sonic gulped, knowing it wasn't a bluff.
"C..Come on Shadow.. It won't be that bad.. And Rouge will be there too!" He said trying to convince Shadow to come.
"..Only if you'll shut up! Your voice is giving me a damn headache." He growled.
"Horray! Come on!" Sonic yelled happily pulling on Shadow's arm.
"Don't you dare touch me." He said angrily looking into Sonic's eyes and saw fear.
'I forgot how mean he was.. if only he'd be a little nicer.. Even if it were for one day.' Sonic thought.
Sonic led Shadow to a large white house. They went in and Shadow pulled the both out of the way as a vase hurdled toward their heads.
' I/He. .Saved him/me? ' Both thought
"You basterd! You broke my vase!" Rouge yelled angrily.
"Uh.. 10 year old here.. " Tails said.
"Yea.. 6 And 12 too!" Cream said in her annoying voice.
"Sonic? Who's your friend?" Amy asked.
"I'm not his friend." Shadow said.
"Shadow!! It's been so long!" Rouge yelled happily hugging him. He quickly shoved her off, causing her to fall to the ground.
"Do not touch me!" He yelled angrily as he stomped out the door.
"What's up with him? He usually never cared if I hugged him. He'd just sigh and roll his eyes." Rouge said in complete shock at Shadow's actions.
"Maybe something happened." Tails said.
"I'll go talk to him.." Sonic sighed walking out. He saw Shadow sitting at the edge of the street, so he joined him.
"Shadow? Are you ok?" He asked. There was no answer. Shadow's mind was tortchuring him with a memory from a few months ago.
' Shadow slowly woke up on something hard. He tried to look through darkness, but had no luck. He tried to move, but found his arms and legs chained down. Bright lights turned on and it took a minute for his eyes to get used to it. When they did, he saw Eggman walking in. Eggman had the scariest grin you had ever seen. Fear sparked in Shadow's eyes.
"What the hell do you want?!" He yelled.
"Now, now Shadow.. I don't want you to have a temper.." Eggman said wlaking over and placeing a hand on Shadow's muzzle.
"Get the fuck off me!!" He growled.
"Sh.. Now's not the time to talk.." He said wickidly, placing a finger on Shadow's lips. his stomach filled with butterflies. The one's that let you know danger was near. A loud 'zziipp' filled the room and Shadow's eyes widened in fear, knowing what Eggman wanted him for.'
